Behavioral Health
Michael Medlock, MD
Dr. Medlock brings decades of neurological expertise to his current work at MFM Health, where he focuses on non-operative neurosurgery and addiction medicine.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Medlock trained in neurosurgery at the University of Illinois and completed fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital. He went on to serve on the faculty at Georgetown University and later at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, and North Shore Medical Center.
After retiring from operative neurosurgery in 2017, Dr. Medlock chose to focus on a different—but equally urgent—area of brain health: substance use and addiction. Today, at MFM Health, he combines his background in complex neurological conditions with compassionate, evidence-based care for patients struggling with addiction.
His mission is to meet patients where they are, offer expert support, and help turn the tide on one of today’s most pressing public health challenges.
